It always comes back to pet sweaters

Well, I was browsing through Knitty trying to find a scarf pattern for the super fabulous alpaca birthday yarn, and I just happened to see a dog sweater. I have volunteered to make at least one sweater for a co-worker's dog (an adorable rescue named Monkey), but I had NO IDEA that custom sweaters could be so lucrative. Check out Lucky Penny: http://www.luckypennyhandmade.com/purchase.html . I really need to open an Etsy shop or something. I mean, how many outfits can one adorable Boston Terrier have?????

Hey! This sounds like a 2nd job for you that would be more flexible in time and hopefully more relaxing.

You could be right. I have seen custom order, acrylic cheapo red heart yarn sweaters for $50 on Etsy--the only distinctive thing was they had intarsia skulls on them. But then again, I have a lot of gifts I have promised too.

I think it does sound like a great, relaxing 2nd job! I suppose you could do the gifts first, as practice. Or make one for Subby next and I'll pay you for it! I think that having a few distributed around could bring in more business. You could ask to use the recipients as models, right?
