So long, and thanks for all the yarm

I've just moved all my old posts to my new blog, Wendelkate Procrastinates.  I left entries for some of the more popular with links to the specific posts on my blog. I had never looked at our stats before and was surprised by a few of the items with relatively high views.

Sari, I was impressed at the popularity of your Christmas Dog Shrug pattern. That's great!

Stash Photos on Ravelry

I have been working to get more of my yarn stash organized.  I spent a few hours this weekend taking photos and adding yarns to Ravelry.  It was fun.  I concentrated on yarns for which I have no specific project as yet.  I will try to spend some time next weekend (while TL and MM are camping) to go through the cupboard of projects that I haven't started yet, but have all the yarns and patterns for.  I do think that I finally have most of my knitting library on Ravelry, but probably have missed some pattern leaflets here and there.

Review Sweet Shawlettes by Jean Moss

I wanted to like this book, but it has too many flaws for me. -All the patterns use Rowan yarn. If a book is very specific about yarn, I expect that to be part of the title. -I don't think a scarf or cowl is a shawlette. A shoulder wrap that turns into a cowl is fine, but a cowl is different than a shawl. -Charts are pretty good, but I hate charts. These patterns aren't also written out. -Some of these patterns take 6 or 8 balls of yarn. That's not small to me. At $21.95 this is a borrow from the library type of book, not a purchase!
